Michael Francis, Nature Photography - ICF Pro/Am Texas Photo Contest

This ICF Pro-Am Tournament is something I participated in with a group of photographers in 2011. The images we got were fantastic (see slide show)! The photographers had a great time and I suspect that most will be back for more in 2012. Keep in mind that you will be on a private ranch where they have built blinds and waterholes to attract the wildlife.

The fun thing about this kind of photography is that you never know what might show up in front of your blind if you are quiet. Expect to get up early before first light and then wait for bird, mammal, & reptile life to come in to the water hole. We will place food near photographic perches. I suggest you have a 400mm-600mm lenses for this photo shoot along with extension tubes. See you in Texas!
